Cereal Bracelet

I read somewhere awhile ago that in order to get your child ready to do things like write and use scissors, they need a lot of fine motor skill practice.  Of course, C-Bear’s not into fine motor skill refinement.  He’s a fan of perfecting his gross motor skills.  Boys.  Sigh.  I’ve introduced him to lacing beads, but that’s not an activity he’s done more than once, and he never chooses to do it on his own.

Yesterday morning I was going through my crap craft cabinets when C-Bear asked for a snack of cereal, specifically Cheerios.  Then, I noticed the pipe cleaners.  Again, I’d read somewhere about a craft with pipe cleaners and Cheerios.  GENIUS!  C-Bear jumped at the chance to string up some Cheerios.  Oh, the brilliance of others never ceases to amaze me.  Check out his bracelet!

C-Bear can't wait to give daddy the bracelet he made for him.

Love this! Pipe cleaners are SOOO much easier than shoelaces!
